April 25, 2025, Radisson Azerbaijan
On 23rd April, the British Chamber of Commerce Azerbaijan (BCCA) marked the birthday of one of literature’s greatest figures — William Shakespeare — with a special celebration held for its members.
The event was opened by John Patterson, the Board Member of the Chamber. Kieran Reddington, the Chairperson, then shared the Chamber’s updated strategy and reintroduced the new Board Members to the audience.
Zibar Huseynova, Executive Director of BCCA, highlighted the purpose of the event — to honor Shakespeare’s legacy and to showcase hand-painted pictures created by children from Azerbaijan British College and Baku-Oxford School. These artworks are being donated to schools in the Zagatala region.
Alexander Tyrrell, the Honorary Board Member of the Chamber and Department for Business and Trade Country Director at the British Embassy, wrapped up the official part of the event with a short summary and closing remarks.
The evening then continued with a networking session.
