Annual General Meeting

On February 25, 2025, the British Chamber of Commerce Azerbaijan (BCCA) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) with the attendance of the British Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mr. Fergus Auld, and representatives from member companies.

The purpose of this meeting was to elect seven Board members including the Chairperson, who will serve a two-year term. Sixty-two company members attended the meeting, where sixteen candidates were running for the seven seats.

The event began with opening remarks by John Patterson, Chairperson of BCCA. Ambassador Mr. Fergus Auld, highlighted the strong UK-Azerbaijan business ties during his speech and updated British business community about the past events. Zibar Huseynova, the new Executive Director, welcomed the members and explained the election procedure.

The AGM included speeches from candidates standing for election to the Board of Directors. This was followed by a voting process where members cast their votes for the new board members.

Elkhan Aliyev, Treasurer of BCCA, presented the financial report, outlining the Chamber’s financial status and transparency in managing resources.  

The counting and announcement of the election results took place by the end of the dinner.
